BIODIVERSITY
According to the IUCN Red List, there are approximately 180 terrestrial flora and fauna species in Sulawesi that are considered either vulnerable, endangered, or critically endangered. This includes species that could be identified in, and/or around, the project area such as the lowland anoa (Bubalus depressicornis; an endangered species per the IUCN Red List). Further, endemic species that could be identified in, and/or around, the project area include the Sulawesi warty pig (Sus celebensis) and the lowland anoa (Bubalus depressicornis).

The West Sulawesi REDD+ Project will:
- Increased income and diversified income;
- Education, training, and technical knowledge transfer;
- Improved health and life quality;
- New skills developed and new industries created;
- Opportunities for small-scale agroforestry and/or non-timber forest products; and
