JAMES EATON
FOUNDER AND CEO
James has dedicated his career to developing and implementing ecosystems services projects making a substantial impact on the field of forest conservation around the world. He has extensive experience in the field of forest ecology, geographic information systems, soil biogeochemistry, land-use change science, and tropical ecology.
BRIAN MCFARLAND
COO
Brian has extensive experience in sustainability, global carbon markets, and conservation finance. He specializes in coordinating large-scale, community-run projects that reduce deforestation and protect biodiversity. Over the past decade, Brian managed a portfolio of four VCS-CCBS REDD+ projects and financed over 260 carbon projects across 30 countries and 43 US states, representing 22 million offsets, 540,000+ RECs, and ~2 million trees planted.
SETH INMAN
DIRECTOR OF NATURAL CLIMATE SOLUTIONS
During the last ten years, Seth has lived and worked in areas with unique biodiversity and cultural values, following his passion for environmental conservation and building a career at the intersection of private sector investment and biodiversity protection.
CARLOS GIMÉNEZ
GIS AND REMOTE SENSING SPECIALIST
Carlos Giménez is an environmental engineer from the National University of Asunción in Paraguay, with a specialization in geographic information systems (GIS) and remote sensing from Pacific University. He has been working for six years on GIS and remote sensing research, conservation, and social and environmental development projects, both for the public and private sectors.
JACOB MALCOMB
director of Forest Carbon and REDD+ Projects
Jacob is an ecosystem ecologist specializing in forest carbon. He received his PhD from the Department of Environmental Sciences at the University of Virginia, where his research integrated tree ring, forest inventory, watershed biogeochemistry, and remote sensing data to examine how recent changes in climate and atmospheric pollution have influenced forest carbon and water balance in the eastern United States.
BRIGITTA JÓZAN
Director of Climate, Community & Biodiversity Projects
Brigitta has extensive experience working at acclaimed organizations focused on responding to natural and man-made disasters, alleviating global poverty, empowering women, improving access to health care and sanitation, and providing education. She has worked diligently to align the needs of organizations with the priorities of foundations, corporations, and US Government donors to have the greatest shared programmatic impact.
DANIEL COLLANTE
Director of Marketing and Communications
Daniel Collante is a Brand Design and Growth Specialist with over 13 years of experience in corporate branding, marketing, and communications. He collaborates with purpose-driven brands to help them achieve meaningful impact. At Climate Investment Partners, Daniel is responsible for communicating the value of nature-based solutions (NBS) and carbon financing projects, which support CIP’s core objectives.
